The second annual Golf Over Violence
The second annual Golf Over Violence Golf Tournament benefiting Peace Over Violence brought together a wonderful community of golfers for a meaningful day at Old Ranch Country Club. More than just a day on the course, the event reflected a shared commitment to supporting survivors and advancing Peace Over Violence’s mission of prevention, healing, and advocacy.
The tournament was made possible by the dedication of committee members Ron Burkhardt, Pam Palmer, Jose Meneses, Arian Maher, and Karina Carrero. Special thanks also went to Natasha Nelson of Golden Arrow PR for public relations support, and volunteers Angel Jones and Nancy Koza.
This year’s event was made stronger through the generous support of sponsors including Pam Palmer, Super Dry Restoration, Kelly Hawkins, RAM Construction, Newmark, Tangram Interiors, IRS Demo, Renegade Flooring, American Cabinet Works, and Pinnacle Communications, whose support helps sustain Peace Over Violence’s important work.
Participants also heard from Reyna Mejia-Kot, a Trauma Therapist at Peace Over Violence, who shared about her work with survivors and why community support is so critical in sustaining healing services and advocacy.
The day concluded with awards, raffle prizes, and gratitude for everyone who participated and helped make another successful Golf Over Violence Classic possible. The date for the 2027 tournament will be announced in the coming months!
