Peace Over Violence offers workshops designed to provide non-offending parents with information about protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
Topics include:
- The definition of child abuse 
- Understanding the Dependency Court system and DCFS 
- Recognizing signs of possible sexual abuse/exploitation 
- Sex trafficking 
- Recognizing different types of child molesters 
- Talking to children about sexual abuse prevention 
- Protecting your children from internet sexual exploitation 
- Addressing the impact of sexual abuse on families 
This series of 10 workshops are conducted in English and ASL. Beginning May 6, the workshop meets every Monday from 10:00am - 12:00pm.
