30,000-33,000, Full time, non-exempt position. Benefits include vacation and holidays, medical and dental coverage (partial payment by employee).

Metro Headquarters (Tuesday-Friday), West San Gabriel Valley (Saturday)


Peace Over Violence seeks a reliable and responsible Administrative Clerk Assistant who can perform clerical and administrative duties. The ACA reports to the Operations/Human Resources Manager. The ACA assists in the Administrative and Fiscal Department by answering phones, greeting clients and guest, confirming appointments, filing paperwork, performing data entry, scanning documents, receiving and sorting mail and any other tasks that contribute to the function of the Administrative and Fiscal Department. 


  • Administrative

    • Answer phones and greets clients warmly

    • Provide triage to clients who are in crisis

    • Communicate with clients, guest, employees, and others to answer questions, explain information of POV services and programs

    • Operate office equipment, including photocopiers, scanners, telephone and voicemail systems, and computers

    • Maintain updated systems for filing, inventory, mailing, and databases

    • Handle incoming and outgoing office correspondence

    • Prepare meeting agendas; attend meetings to take notes and write minutes

    • Obtain information to respond to requests by reviewing files, documents, and records

    • Take inventory and order materials, supplies, and services as needed

    • Troubleshoot problems that arise with office equipment

    • Assist with filing for other POV programs

    • Support the reception desk during breaks and meal times

    • Schedule meetings and conference rooms


  • Fiscal Assistance

    • Assist in filing duties

    • Compile financial records

    • Reroute calls to appropriate people

    • Assist with the preparation of agency audits

    • Assist with banking transactions, including the collection, counting, and disbursement of money

    • Prepare and mail bills, invoices, checks, and contracts



  • Proficient in the use of computers, including accounting software, database software, document management software, and Microsoft Office

  • Prior secretarial experience preferred, but not required

  • Strong communication skills; ability to interact productively with supervisors and peers

  • Superb organizational skills

  • Excellent time management

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must have completed or intended complete POV’s 72-hour Counselor Advocate Training
