Developing Latina Leadership

The staff and volunteers activism and hard work have resulted in an increased demand for bilingual and bicultural services. The agency’s commitment to this program resulted in the increase of Latina Services staff and resources. Our monolingual training has served as a catalyst for women’s empowerment and leadership development. Since its inception, the monolingual training program has trained dozens of monolingual Los Angeles residents. In recognition of their contributions and potential, several of the women trained through our monolingual training have since been hired by Peace Over Violence, while others have used the training as a starting base.
