Crisis counseling for Survivors of Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, or Stalking.

Survivors and non-abusive significant others can speak with trained counselors.

Survivors Support Groups

Provides a safe place for survivors to share their feelings and experiences with other survivors.

Long Term Counseling

Extended counseling based on client need and staff availability.

Hospital and Court Accompaniment/Advocacy

Advocates provide information and support during medical and/or court procedures.

Domestic Violence Shelter Referral and Advocacy

Our staff works closely with local shelter programs and service providing agencies to insure accessible services for survivors who are Deaf, have a disability or are elder or dependent adults.

Legal Advocacy Project

Provides legal assistance in the areas of family law, VAWA, and protective orders to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.

Personal Security and Self-Defense Classes

Simple, easy to learn, individually adapted workshops help develop awareness, assertiveness and physical self-defense techniques.

Kid’s Self-Defense & Safety

A child abuse prevention program taught in schools, scouts, boys & girls clubs, churches, etc. with a goal to empower the child to act on their own behalf.

In touch With Kids

A 15-unit educational program to enable parents/caregivers to raise children from infancy to puberty in a nurturing, non-violent environment, Peace Over Violence’ In Touch With Kids curriculum is approved for court ordered parenting training for survivors of domestic violence.

Violence Prevention Education

Community education addressing issues of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.

Professional Training and Consultation: Provided for law enforcement, prosecution, court personnel and service providing agencies addressing issues of responding to victim/survivors of violence who are Deaf. have a disability or are elder or dependent adults.

Volunteer/Intern Opportunities

Training and supervision provided for Crisis Intervention Counselor/Advocate, Violence Prevention Specialist, and Administrative Assistant.

Referral Services

Referral and advocacy services to specific programs providing support services, including housing, financial aid, drug & alcohol recovery programs, independent living centers, disability foundations and senior service programs.
