Domestic Abuse

Most relationships are not abusive. However, research shows on-going abuse occurs in approximately 1/3 of intimate relationships regardless of class, ethnicity or sexual orientation. We make it safe for victims to reach out and work in collaboration with many agencies to provide immediate services to the victims of domestic abuse and their families. Trained volunteers respond to hospitals, law enforcement agencies and/or court to provide support to the victim. The team provides referrals to shelters, family counseling, Emergency Protection Orders, as well as other forms of intervention depending on the particular situation.
